“The revelation that Charles is getting a 45% pay rise the same time this government insists there’s no money for nurses is disgusting. It also shows just how stupidly out of touch this moron of a king is. Despite what your 24/7 PR likes to pretend you are not as popular as you think you are, do you really think starving Britons are going to accept this? If I were Charles I would have rejected it or donated the money, but I’m not a narcissist so I guess there’s the problem” - Submitted by Anonymous

“I really don’t want to hear another politician moan that there’s “no money” to feed children whilst increasing the amount of money being given to the parasites in Buckingham.” - Submitted by Anonymous

“It is literally impossible to be a woman. You’re so beautiful and so smart. And it kills me you don’t think you’re good enough. Like we have to always be extraordinary. But somehow we’re always doing it wrong. You have to be thin, but not too thin, and you can never say you want to be thin. You have to say you want to be healthy, but also you have to be thin! You have to have money, but you can’t ask for money, because that’s crass. You have to be a boss, but you can’t be mean. You have to lead, but you can’t squash other people’s ideas. You’re supposed to love being a mother, but don’t talk about you kids all the damn time. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people. You have to answer for men’s bad behavior which is insane but if you point that out you’re accused of complaining. You’re supposed to stay pretty for men but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you’re supposed to be a part of the sisterhood but always stand out and always be grateful. But never forget that the system is rigged so find a way to acknowledge that but also always be grateful. You have to never get old. Never be rude. And never show off. Never be selfish, never fall down, never fail, never show fear, never get out of line. It’s too hard! It’s too contradictory! And nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong but also everything is your fault! I’m just so tired of watching myself and every single other woman tie ourselves into knots so that people will like us.” -Gloria (America Ferrera, BARBIE)

MARGOT ROBBIE
Inside the Barbie Dreamhouse | Architectural Digest

chilakillme:

Let’s get this clear, Barbie (the doll, the character, that girl, Margot Robbie is playing her) is asexual and in a loving relationship with her boyfriend/worshipper Ken

But, as an actress, Barbie is known for portraying characters of all sexualities, let’s not forget about our lesbian friend from Diamond Castle

Just as Arya had often brought Lord Eddard Stark the flowers she discovered, Arya’s oldest girl and her father’s namesake Eddara Stark, often did the same with her.

None of which stopped Arya, of course. One day she came back grinning her horsey grin, her hair all tangled and her clothes covered in mud, clutching a raggedy bunch of purple and green flowers for Father. Sansa kept hoping he would tell Arya to behave herself and act like the highborn lady she was supposed to be, but he never did, he only hugged her and thanked her for the flowers. – A Game of Thrones

Celibacy is so powerful. Liberal feminism doesn’t want you to know this because it’s men pulling the strings behind the curtain, but it’s so powerful.

Having EXTREMELY high standards and being a perfectionist when it comes to partners is one of the most self empowering things you can do. Our bodily autonomy is threatened on a daily basis, you can take control back by not allowing anyone who is not up to your extreme standards to touch you.

AND as a woman, once you no longer feel constantly guilted and pressured into instant gratification or settling for men who aren’t ideal / truly incompatible for you, you’ll be absolutely UNSTOPPABLE.

and keep in mind that for thousands of years women haven’t even had the right to say no to men, the only reason we have the right to say no to men now is because the women before us fought so hard for our right to say no. Don’t take that right for granted. Don’t feel guilty about saying no.

i was thinking about that post comparing Jessica Rabbit as an asexual to Barbie and an asexual and then i thought of the Neil Gaiman post (was it a post?) about Crowley and Aziraphale being asexual and then this happened.
